La Leche League Columbia Evening Group
La Leche League (LLL) Columbia Evening is a mother to mother breastfeeding support group. We meet the third Tuesday of each month at 7pm. Our current location for the meetings is Rm 9 downstairs in St John Episcopal church on the corner of Holly and Wheat Sts in Columbia. We offer information, encouragement, and support to anyone who wants to breastfeed her baby. The meetings are free but you may become a member of LLL if you want to help in continuing our mission. Teresa Hill
Teresa Hill is the nutrition coordinator with DHEC’s Division of Obesity Prevention and Control (DOPC). The program focuses on ways to increase physical activity and improve nutrition practices, to include increasing breastfeeding rates in the state. DOPC works on population-based policy and environmental change initiatives for the prevention and control of obesity in South Carolina - the “spaces and places” that influence health behaviors.
Glenda Houck
Provides Breastfeeding Services/Resources to WIC Participants in Kershaw, Lee Sumter, and Clarendon counties.
