The Breastfeeding Resource Guide

Dr. Feiste is a board certified pediatrician with over 10 years experience in general pediatrics. He has supported breast feeding mothers and infants in Mississippi, the Western Pacific Islands of Guam and Chuuk, Charleston SC, Orlando FL, and most recently in Clemson and Seneca SC. He is a freelance writer and lecturer and is available for educational material and seminars in breast feeding and other pediatric and non-pediatric topics.

The Lactation Services Department at Spartanburg Regional is designed to help and support breastfeeding mothers by providing active services including: inpatient support, prenatal consultation, prenatal breastfeeding class, outpatient postartum consultation, phone consultations and consultations for all breastfeeding mothers.
The Lactation Service is staffed by Debbie Costello RN,IBCLC who has been an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant for 14 years. She recently moved from Gainesville, Florida to live in the Upstate and continue to work with mothers and babies.

Provides Breastfeeding Services/Resources for WIC participants in Williamsburg, Horry and Georgetown; supervises breastfeeding peer counselors in Horry County.

Breastfeeding Peer Counselor for WIC in Florence County.

Provides Breastfeeding Services/Resources for WIC in Chester, Lancaster and York Counties.

Provides Breastfeeding Services/Resources/Classes for WIC in Cherokee, Spartanburg, Union, Greenville and Pickens counties; supervises breastfeeding peer counselors.

Coordinator for WIC Breastfeeding Services in the following counties: Laurens, Abbeville, Greenwood, McCormick, Saluda, and Edgefield.

Provide WIC Breastfeeding services/resources for Oconee and Anderson Counties.

Debbie Costello RN,IBCLC has been an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant for 14 years. April 2007 I moved to the Upstate to work at Spartanburg Regional, from Gainesville, Florida. I am the Past President of FLCA (Florida Lactation Consultant Association). I have spent most of my professional life working with mothers and babies and I continue to learn from each family. I have 2 adult daughters and 1 grand daughter who all live in Florida. I love to knit and enjoy my Book Club group and active in the Episcopal Church.
